A Gathering of Wonders and Dragons
On Wednesday, July 2nd, four of the authors in the anthology Wonders and Dragons: A Midwest Fantasy Sampler will be joining us to talk about their work.
Wonders And Dragons is a new “Midwest Fantasy Sampler” intended to highlight fantasy authors from the Midwest. This years’ theme is high fantasy, with authors providing stories drawn from their own epic fantasy series.
Wisconsin writer Justin Rose, is the curator of the anthology. He is the author of the First Immortals series which tells the story of the rise of the famed immortals of Rehavan, along with other Tales and Myths of Rehavan.
Douglas Van Dyke is from Dhea Loral which, according to the fantasy map provided in the first pages of Wonders and Dragons, is somewhere around Stillwater. His fantasy series, The Earthrin Stones, takes place a thousand years after the Godswars, as the gods begin to once again meddle in human affairs.
M.R. Moraine and C.E. Linares write together in the world of Nevold, where beast-like, magical Valkys live in an uneasy peace with the Children of Men. The world is featured in the series Nevertold.
